The Great Wine Debate

The Great Wine Debate

We kicked off 2020 with FHV's Head of Ops Emma Lundie (second from right) joining a panel of wine producers for the Great Wine Debate. An evening of chat about English and Welsh wine, organised by the Soil Association, ahead of the Oxford Farming Conference.

Hosted by Anna Hill of BBC R4's Farming Today, the panel also included our wine maker Will Davenport, Rathfinny Estate and White Castle Vineyard, representing Wales.

The conversation covered innovation in English vineyards and the pros and cons of being organic.  Emma spoke about FHV's focus on community and asked, “how on earth you keep the weeds down underneath the vines in an organic vineyard?  Answers on a postcard please!!
